On June 1, 2019, the Albanian National Hemp Industry Association<\/a> launched a petition based on farmers, for the amendment of Law no. 7975, dated 26.7.1995 “On Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances”, to increase the level of THC of industrial hemp<\/a>, to regulate harvesting and processing restrictions according to the regulation and the best standards of the EU and the USA for industrial hemp (industrial cannabis).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adoption of these amendments will give all Albanian farmers an excellent profit opportunity, through the cultivation of industrial hemp according to the best standards of the EU and the USA, making them key players in the world market, this thanks to the climatic conditions of Albania and the nature of Albanian farms which are owned by exemplary farmers and devoted workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
